Welcome to Semper Fi K-9
Semper Fi German Shepherds come from West German show/working line dogs and are selected for their beauty, intelligence, and temperament as well as ability. They are "Always Faithful," true to the ideal character of a German Shepherd. Our dogs come from some of the best European bloodlines in the world, including World Sieger Gary vom Huhnegrab, Mentos vom Osterbergerland and 2 x World Sieger Yasko vom Farbenspiel, among other VA rated dogs and SchH 3 dogs.
We are a small, family-oriented breeder of German Shepherds and plan to stay that way so we can have proper time to devote to our dogs and puppies. We have 2 locations for our dogs. The original location is in Kaufman, Texas, about 30 miles southeast of Dallas. The other location is in Ronan, Montana (about 40 minutes from Missoula) at the home of my daughter who also shares the love of these magnificent animals!
Because we are Christians, we believe in a literal creation as stated in the Bible in Genesis chapter 1. We believe God created animals on the 6th day of creation, which would include dogs. Genesis 1:25 (KJV) says, "And God made the beast of the earth after his kind and cattle after their kind and everything that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and God saw that it was good." We believe that God created man as well and gave him dominion over all of the animals, and with this privilege also comes great responsibility. We humans have a responsibility to be good stewards of all of His creation, and we believe a huge part of that responsibility is to treat animals humanely. Therefore, our German Shepherds are an integral part of our family. They are allowed in the house and often accompany us on car rides, hikes, and walks. They are well socialized with children and other animals. Our goal is to raise German Shepherds that are not only beautiful, courageous, and intelligent but are willing to please and have excellent dispositions. The ideal German Shepherd is loyal and protective but does not show aggression unless there is a good reason to. All of our German Shepherds used for breeding have OFA-equivalent certified hips and elbows with excellent temperaments.
We believe that you will be extremely satisfied with a puppy from Semper Fi K-9. We chose the name "Semper Fi" because of its meaning "Always Faithful." And while we believe this best exemplifies the kind of German Shepherd we are striving to breed, we also realize that the only One who is truly perfect and "Always Faithful" is the Lord Jesus Christ. Because he gave Himself freely as a sacrifice for our sins, it is our desire for everyone to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior as an atonement for their sins before it is too late. Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus our Lord." Even if you never buy a puppy from us, we would be more than happy to talk to you about your eternal destination. "For what shall it profit a man if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul" Mark 8:36.
